It’s quite straightforward.

click on your System Assigned Profile picture at the top right of the SF banner
In your case, its
-
Then navigate to Preferences
-
Then click the pencil icon against the Assigned Profile Picture
-
after which select
-
then select the picture you want from your system
-
click Save Changes and it’s done

Neither Graham or Geof have posted in a couple of years.
It should be the rightmost item as per Graham’s instructions. Can you screenshot what you see?
Are you on desktop, tablet or phone?
I think I can see what’s happening. If you click on your picture, you get a list of recent likes and replies but to the right of that list is a list of symbols. The bottom one gets you to your profile and that one has preferences at the bottom. At least that’s what happens to me.
