Self-depreciation? Guess the Brits I've met aren't really Brits then (or maybe it's got to do with the fact that most of them have been working in the banking business).... Love the "gastropub" though, including gastro as in gastroenteritis.

Except in Scotland where the question "Whose round is it?" is certain to empty a pub... Or was that just my family?

This is so accurate - I particularly like the bit about buying drinks in rounds meaning being an accepted part of a group.
