Yes he is indeed a grumpy git.. But that’s what makes him I suppose.
Not always.
One of my favourite songs used in one of my favourite films - Michael. (The one with John Travolta as an angel)
I’ve heard this before, thanks for sharing, I’m always up for hearing new music.

About twenty years ago I was at an art and regeneration research meeting at the U of Ulster when one of the Belfast academics mentioned the new Titanic Quarter.
“That’s not a very auspicious name.” I glibly observed.
Straight back across the table came the reply -
“That ship was in perfect condition when we handed it over to the English.”

Hello
We are in Domfront, what about you?
Warrenpoint is a nice spot we used to go often.
In Écouché les Vallées about 45 mins from you. Domfront a hotspot for Brits. Not so much here. Is your move here permanent….job etc?
I did my day skipper training many, many moons ago just across the Lough, in Carlingford. A very pleasant three or four days onboard a 32 footer. Off to the local after dinner every evening.
We took the car ferry across too a few years ago. Very pleasant, I think it may be defunct now, which is a pity.
OK you aren’t to far from us then.
We are here permanently, will work eventually but not for a while yet, we are going to travel around for a bit first.
Yes there seems to be a fair few Brits here indeed.
2 hours down the road, in Angers. We moved from Caen for professional reasons.
Ha, goodness me, Ecouché is where I went to school until the age of 15! I havent been back in years, I guess everything must have changed a lot. The nursery school was in the center, the primary school was next to the village green and I remember walking across the village in rows of 2 to get to the canteen at lunchtime. We used to jump the wall to get to the neighbour’s garden, whose son was in my class.
That was in the 80s.
School is still there! I still see those rows of 2 walking to somewhere. I don’t think the town has changed much at all in the past 27 years. I li,e it very much
Car ferry over to Car.ingford now defunct. There is a new v modern bridge being built across from Narrowater now. Costing millions and will look v out of place I feel in such a lovely area. The lough and mountains are beautiful. I’m visiting this month but would have no desire to return permanently. Been here a v long time and not shifting!
Yes indeed the new bridge will be an eyesore and won’t fit in..
The ferry might continue as it brings you closer to carlingford.
I love the Mourne mountains but not enough to make me return.
Me too.
Mr Currie was the instructor. He taught me to swim by pushing me in at the deep end!!
Can’t remember the name of my instructor but I was the smallest and the most useless and he would basically give up and just swim up and down with me on his back. He looked like Johnny Weissmuller.
Haha, I hesitated about saying something about his grumpiness… He used to get his fish and chips from the takeaway where I worked as a teenager, many moons ago when he owned a pad in Wiltshire (which he bought off David Putnam and later sold to James Dyson, iirc). He was grumpy even when ordering cod and chips..!
Lol
He used to give off to us when we where kids for playing infront of his mums house.
