I keep losing SF on my I Pad

I have lost SF twice on my I Pad, I only get the black banner.
After a few days, the first time, it came back, but at the moment it is still out.
Help please.

@Jane_Williamson my iPad 2 has the same problem but my wife’s iPad (6th generation) works ok.
My version of iOS is 9.3.5 and V’s is 12.3.1 if that helps.
I can’t find which version of Safari is in use (but will research)
update: Because Safari is part of the iOS operating system, its version is the same as the iOS.
The other point is of course that the iPad 2 is EOL so not possible to update the iOS.
Also tried clearing cache but still no joy.

There is a 9.3.6 available now. Doubt that it will make any difference though.

Ditch Safari and install Google Chrome. Its way more compliant anyhow.

It’s a workaround but maybe try Chrome or Firefox @Jane_Williamson ?
