Today’s London marathon.
Yes an incredible feet, a good watch today.
And they’re only size nine. Amazing. ![]()
But seriously, yes, it’s an amazing thing to do, plus I understand that for the second place runner it was his London marathon debut.
Trying (and failing) to imagine running a marathon.
And Sylvain Guintoli with 2 of his daughters have run the marathon in memory of Luca, Guintoli’s 6-year old son who died from cancer last year. As a motor racing rider, he challenged himself to run in full leathers and wanted to complete the course in under 4 hours. Well - he did it in 3hr47m46s and has raised loads of money for PASIC a cancer charity for children. Well done Sylvain - and that was one week after competing in the 24-hr Le Mans race where he finished 4th. An incredible feat !
We shouldn’t leave out the women either, a new world record there as well. 2:15 isn’t a slouch!
I think the last person who crossed the Mall line just within the time limit of 8h.30 was equally impressive. She is 67 and has multiple sclerosis, so what an achievement.
