Innumerable more days to Halloween

Just reading the Manchester Evening News online (for footballing reasons) when I noticed this promotional puff informing me that Home Bargains has launched its new Halloween range,

I’m sure many SFers will grateful for having this highly desirable item brought to their attention at such an early date.

Be the first one on your block…

Ikea has a great autumn / Halloween range it’s called Hostagille . A search on that brings up about 26 products. Sweden has the full 37, Germany about 30.

Some are Limited Edition so will probably disappear in September.

The black “bat” in the picture top right above is actually a cushion cover. Some of their Swedish publicity had kids wearing the cushion on their backs, with the extended bits hanging down their front like a kind of vampire cloak. For when they go round Tricking or Treating I guess.

I’m always surprised how big Halloween is in France.

Action already has their autumn and Halloween stuff in this week!

Fortunately not around here…

‘Lots more days of plastic tat,
Plastic tat, plastic tat,
Caca crotte crotte’

Indeed it has and has taken over the gardening section.
Couldn’t find their excellent green gardening gloves any where last Friday.
One of my wife’s wishes is that Action opens a shop in our local town. Every time a new site is prepared or a large shed becomes vacent her hopes are raised!!
We always try to guess the value of our bulging ‘life’ bag before reaching the checkout. Guess over 30 euros and you are sure to lose.

I was late to discover it but now I love Action. They do some great cleaning products for the bathroom… One in particular by a brand called Washcat is awesome for brightening up the grout between tiles (you just need to make sure you ventilate the room well whilst using it :face_exhaling:).

Back on topic… Luckily for us, our house is not really visible unless you know it’s there so we don’t get random kids doing trick-or-treat, just our neighbour’s kids.

Plus, the local kids get enough sweets from the shops in the High Street here so not entirely sure the parents take their kids to knock on doors anyway. I’ve never seen shops in UK High Streets doing this, but maybe because we lived in larger towns back then.
