News of goodness. I will go Tescoing when back in Angleterre.
Having it checked by friends.
Most insect bites can be relieved with a hydrocortisone cream from the pharmacie. Not for use on cuts or scratches.
Antihistamine tablets can be used from hayfever to mild insect stings.
I’m not medically trained, but that’s what I use when I forget to duck.
I also carry an epi-pen for when I really muck up
My friend gave me his Epi-Pen as he was dying. It seemed very important to him that I have it.
Antihistamine tablets help but IMO creams are useless. Prevention is the only thing Corona.
Having been bitten in more geographic and anatomical places than I care to remember, I believe in Deet, Deet and Deet. It is the ONLY thing that works and one wouldn’t enter a malaria region without it, no matter what prophylactic medicine one is taking (and we’ve tried them all).
We’ve also always had mossie proof blinds on all home windows. A great advantage.
Now that we have virus transmitting tigers in the area there is municipal encouragement to put traps in place. I have deployed the big bertha of mossie eradication.
I can’t justify the cost but one day I’d like to get one of these…
1500€ plus the price of the CO² bottles is a bit steep though.
