Back in the UK we had an account with Majestic Wines. One promo they had was for Douglas Green SA Chardonnay. So we bought a case. It was a beautiful wine - probably the best chardonnay we have ever had. So we bought all the stock from the local store but wanted more! Fortunately the manager’s brother was the manager of the Majestic store up in Scotland. He had about 25 cases. He just happened to be coming down to Lincolnshire to visit his brother so we bought all his stock and back then we would drink a bottle of wine in a night. We had almost finished our supply when we came to France and came over with just 3 cases. It soon disappeared ! but I’m glad to say we don’t drink so much these days. A bottle of wine usually lasts two days and we’re in to gewurztraminer these days. Neither of us drink red wine.
