Is a French pension transferable?

As a British citizen living in France who receives a modest French pension each month I am wondering if this pension is still payable if I reside elsewhere?
I cannot claim my pension from the USA unless I live there and I am interested to know the scenario in relation to France. Am I destined to see out my days here to benefit from said pension?

You can still be paid your French pension if you live outside of France:

I moved back to the UK last summer and started receiving my French pension a couple of months later without any problems, the only thing I’ve had to do is send a ‘proof of life’ statement to Info Retraite.

Excellent…thank you for your replies and let us hope it stays that way.

Yes I am living in the UK and getting the pension. The certificate de vie is online- you have to download it - get it stamped by an authority and transmit it back online. Each time I have moved home I have updated my address by post. Although the address is corrected on L’Assurance Retraite, I have been caught out twice. When I get the proof of life, it is preprinted with the old address. It takes time and effort to get that changed

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ken.
I live in France at present and have no plans to leave, in fact we are currently trying to move within France, but I did wonder if it would still be paid if I ever moved back, or on.

My french pensions are paid from my previous dept where I lived and worked and paid in and not here in the new dept even though they acknowledge my new address etc. It stands to reason your dept where you paid in will have all your details rather than transfer them elsewhere.

I have just found your reply and I have an update. I now have an app called “certificat de vie”. The whole process was done on line but involved sending a photo of my passport and supplying a video of me responding to instructions given such as “turn your head to the left”. It took me a couple of times to get it right but had the big advantage that I didn’t have to leave home nor get a stamp from the local council.

Thanks once again for the input Ken. It seems clear that my French pension will be paid to me whether I move within France or return to the UK or elsewhere.
This is reassuring as I have already forfeited my pension from the USA as you have to be redident. Fortunately it was pretty insignificant anyway.
