Can I use water used during backwash and rinse of my pool’s sand filter to water our garden?
It seems a shame to bin off several hundred litres of water down the hillside.
Must confess… my first thought was… if it’s safe (and allowed) to send the water down the hillside… why not safe for the garden… ???

Certainly ours - which runs onto the edge of our neighbour’s field - seems to have no ill effects on his crops.
I would, however, be wary of using it on any veg in the garden - just in case.
hopefully the farmer’s crops aren’t eaten by "Man nor Beast " … just in case…
Absolutely, I did a test years ago with an owner who’s pool was mid shock treatment 20ppm of chlorine, some plants grew a little slower than other initially but soon caught up so no harm done.

It will be fine, chlorine would be used up in mintues just leaving a faint trace of salt behind. A lot safer than using Roundup!
