The countryside has become a vast array of shades of red and brown, there are gunshots in the background, there’s camo clothing in abundance and some of the 2010 wines are ready for their first tastings. It must be November.





Logs are stacked for the fire and the garden furniture is covered or put away. Stews, dumplings, mashed potatoes (Aligot… mmmm), sarasin crêpes filled with cheeses and charcuterie and even pies; thoughts of comfort food are looming.
