Kitchen sink plumbing - any rules?

Hello. About to replace single bowl kitchen sink with 1.5 bowl, using new pipework. I am assuming usual P trap set up. Are there any rules I need to conform with?

Thanks

Graeme

Only that it must flow downhill, fortunately this isn’t New York state where you can buy a gun but can’t do your own plumbing.

That’s fine if room is no problem, but to gain more space I use waterless traps mounted horizontally.

As can be usual, cross threading occurs so easily and the original intent of the post goes down the drain.
