KTM Ebike lock key lost

In our move, we’ve managed to lose the key for the lock of Madame’s ebike. The key locks the (Bosch) battery in place.

The battery is at the moment detached from the bike, but once we put it back on, we won’t be able to remove it from the bike to charge it.

I’ve tried using KTM’s online enquiry service, to no avail, and one local-ish bike service shop which doesn’t seem to know what to do. I’m going to keep trying other ebike repair places, but meanwhile if anyone has any ideas for a short cut, I’m all ears.

Is it impossible to charge while in situ? My electric trike does not need the battery removing to recharge it.

Did you buy it new? Both our e-bikes bought at different times came with two keys, are you sure that yours did not? They both fit the battery and the simple rear wheel lock. I put my ‘spare’ key in a kichen drawer where I see it now and again.
