Does anyone know if it’s possible to change the address of a redirection (preferably online) once it’s been taken out. I did one of these a couple of days ago and have just noticed that they’ve got the post code wrong!
I’d call and follow up in writing with a réclamation. I certainly would try to avoid making a new request and paying again if it was their error… Though weirdly this kind of thing (you having to correcr their error and the provider simply not taking sny responsibility even if they admit it which is not guaranteed)… often seems to force that kind of situation here.
Réclamation seems not just to be used for complaint, but also to point out irregularities even if your intention is not to complain.
Just wondering, was the original redirection done on-line or on-paper?
Hi Stella,
It was done in person at the local office. I tried doing it online for many attempts but it always froze at the ‘Add address’ stage. I wrote it down for him and I know it was right because I still have the back of the envelope I wrote it on.
ah… I’m obviously behind the times… last time I did it, I had to complete a paper form… and I was wondering if you had… in which case the Form will show-up the error which now exists… but, if the person simply read your writing and tapped into a computer, it’s not so easy to prove blame (in a gentle way) …
Let’s hope it can be amended amicably
Have you noticed how differently the French write from the Brits? I guess our writing looks just as strange to them - numbers can be a nightmare!
Thanks Stella
I take your point but it’s difficult to confuse a 2 with a 6.
