Last night on Radio Coteaux's new ex-pat show, I launched a fundraising campaign for the Dog Refuge at Lannemezan. Thank you Radio Coteaux for that opportunity - listen again here http://www.mixcloud.com/radiocoteaux/the-exapat-show-12-janvier-2014/
Some of you dog lovers out there will have seen my recent posts on various forums seeking homes for some lovely dogs that have found their way into the Refuge. This is a local Refuge (Association Lannemezanaise Protection Animaux) and is less well known among the English speaking community than the various SPAs in the area. (I am hoping to change that!)
The campaign will culminate in a benefit gig in early Spring (date tbc) where Blues Cafe, Drivin' South and a range of other exciting bands will be playing for the benefit of the Refuge. There will be food, a bar and t-shirts to buy!
In the meantime, individuals in the area will be hosting a diverse range of smaller events to raise money. These range from a pub quiz and a bring and buy sale, to a horse lovers gear exchange and a curry night!! Lots of other things lined up too.

Please consider organising an event in your local community. Do contact me if you'd like ideas. And if you're not an organiser, please go along to some events and spend some money instead! Every little helps and it will ALL goes towards the animals.
