Can anyone recommend an english speaking firm based in england or france who can give advice at distance concerning marriage contracts and inheritance.

Reading that topic it seems that Guillaume Barlet-Bat and Helene Mercier mentioned therein both worked for Cubism Law, a London firm that seems to have collapsed in 2019 with allegations of financial impropriety regarding client funds.
Guillaume and Helene seem to still be members of Survive France but haven’t posted or commented since that time.
It appears that most lawyers working for Cubism Law were employed as consultants (i.e. were not partners involved in the running of the business, nor responsible for its crash).
Maybe @Guillaume_Barlet-Bat or @Helene_Mercier can let us know where they are now and if they can still help SF members?
I found this thread as I am looking for legal advice myself (on moving to France as a retiree with possibly a “side-gig” creating stock photography!)
Unless you have a European nationality it is now hard/impossible to get a visa that allows a side-gig, unless you can show it will be a lucrative one, ie €2k/month. Or you are an internationally recognised photographer with a commission from someone, or are going to invest €30,000 in a new business - that sort of thing.
Not wanting to be a wet blanket, but (as someone who considered something similar, albeit music rather than photography), at the moment it is either/or. Either you’re inactif and apply for a visa as such, and are not permitted to work, or you apply for a working visa with a business plan and showing you can earn effectively the SMIC.

Glad to hear you escaped that firm before the crash - I didn’t mean to imply you were involved in any wrong doing, sorry if I gave that impression!
Thank you @Porridge - yes I have read up on the rules for the various visas so I understand the difference - however the way stock photography works is you get paid royalties on sales by an overseas entity (in my case usually “Adobe Canada Services Corporation”) so I would hope it would be treated as overseas income not money earned in France!?
Anyway I shall get some competent legal advice before I make any earth-shattering decisions!!
