I received an email advising that I have until November 5 to open the attached document.
I’m wary though obviously an electronic ‘lettre recommande’ would seem a logical progression.
Can anybody shed any light? Needless to say it remains unopened for now.
Having researched a little further I think I’ve answered my own question.
It seems to be a legitimate process but only if sent from notification@ar24.fr
Mine comes from notification-Ire@ar24.fr so I’m pretty sure its a scam.
We’ve had stuff that way, but would know it was coming and from whom.
It just so happens that we signed the compromis on our new home last Friday so we are expecting the ‘ten day cooling off period’ letter from the notaire but we were not advised of the method.
I will pop into the notaire’s office and ask them before I trash the e-mail.
Congratulations! Tbh if you are in the middle of something like that I’d probably presume it was genuine, had you not been I’d have been suspicious!
