Pets de nonne are airy, dainty fritters, like a doughnut but much lighter, theoretically. Nun’s farts would naturally be lighter than anyone else’s :thinking:
Pissenlits are or rather were called shitabed (charming) in rural GB… dandelion is much smarter.

We’re planning to stop off briefly in your area Norman on our way down to the Pyrennees-Oriental. We want to see among other things what we could buy for our money there if the (far) south doesn’t work out. I hope it won’t be too taxing driving from Caen in one go - with meal stops of course.

the correze is the cheapest place for property in france apparently; the southerly part is horizontally aligned to the lot and dordogne (take brive as the axis) and shares much of the scenery and history
from paris region the a twenty is a very good and not too busy autoroute; i have never done the drive from caen so can’t give any advice;
the dordogne valley traverses the region and departements so take a look at online property sites for a good idea;
any more localised info feel free to ask (my typing will hopefully improve over a bit more time!)

If you are making any appointments to view properties be sure to make them well in advance as it is not so easy when you are on the spot. The Correze is beautiful. It is where we first started looking. We ended up in Burgundy so these things can be a bit of a journey :slight_smile:

Ps Alice at Treignac Immobilier is really lovely and helpful.
