I am looking for recommendations for a reliable structural engineer who knows his/her stuff in the local environment and is qualified. Just got planning permission through, but have parted ways with the original intended builder in the meantime.
The house is about 10 kms from Limoux, and hasn't been lived in for 60 years, so the walls are in a pretty shocking state.
Since there are party walls on two sides, and the work will entail removing a critical supporting wall to boot, I really really really need someone who can provide the right advice to guide the work going forward.
If anyone can put forward a suggestion for someone - by private message if you prefer - I'd be very grateful. I don't want to put a foot wrong - or indeed take any steps at all - until there is a careful structural plan in place.
Thank you, all.
