Lost property Bordeaux airport

Elsewhere I mentioned I lost my i-pad and Kindle at Bordeaux airport on Monday. I’m flying in tomorrow evening and naively assumed I could report it but they close at 17:00. I see there is an option to register it online. One option is Troov. It means I will pay. An alternative is to go back to the airport during the day and try to find lost property.
Anyone any experience? Which is best?

Sorry, that must be both horrible and worrisome. I know nothing about Troov, but if in your situation I’d be happy to pay (as long as it’s not too much) to either get the reassurance that they’ve already been found, or that I need to search further

How worrying and infuriating, I hope you get them back.

Stansted charge £25 to recover lost property.

Sue - did you manager to recover your i-pad and Kindle ?

Not yet. There was a danger they might end up in the UK with BA and my visit was too short to risk that.
I had hoped that I might find lost property at Bordeaux on my return on Thursday evening but it took an hour to get through and there was nobody around to ask so OH just brought me straight home. But I’m back in Bordeaux during the day Monday and Wednesday, so I’m hoping I’ll have time to go exploring. I want someone to hand them across a counter to me so I can be reassured I’ve got MY i-pad and kindle back.
Fingers crossed.
