Anybody who is insured with Luko, who apparently hold 25% of the home insurance clients in France, if you are not aware, they are in receivership.
I have been trying to get them to settle a claim I made in March. They did not send an assessor until mid-September. He said he could not give a positive report because it was ‘very complicated.’ It actually isn’t complicated at all. After hearing nothing from Luko for weeks, I contacted them and asked them to send a full report regarding my claim, including any ‘very complicated’ reasons they have not settled. They now claim they haven’t received the assessor’s report yet despite requesting it several times. I think they are simply playing for time.
They are still issuing policies despite being in receivership.
I wish I’d read the 1* reviews on Trust Pilot! There are many 5* reviews, based on how quick and easy it is to sign up with them. There are numerous 1* reviews from people who have had no success in receiving any payment in respect of claims.
If you insure with Luko, you may want to change insurer.
