Veronique you reminded me of the place that had a menu for the English but in French;
Poisson avec copeaux
I could could not work it out because I did not know that final word until I got home and looked in the dictionary and found 'copeaux de bois' wood chips and thought eh, what? How could they even humanly have missed (pomme) frites - computer translator of course. But why, if they were doing the menu in French to begin with? never been back, so was never able to ask.
