Making history: (Vaccinated cured or dead take 2)

I hope I’m not quoting you out of context Kirstea and please tell me if I am…

I was largely unaware of Spotify until Joe Rogan interviewed Dr Robert Malone and Dr Peter McCullough…those two episodes are the only ones I have watched in the entirety…

The episode of The Highwire about making history that I opened this conversation with is talking about the Defeat the mandates rally in DC but also what happened the next day and the senate hearing with Senator Ron Johnson…

I didn’t see much reported in msm…there was an opinion piece in one msm outlet that didn’t really address the 5 hour hearing…

This is what I’m seeing about Neil Young….

I suspect his point is that if you allow people to spread lies then you take the free world captive from the truth, and it is no longer free.

The question of censorship doesn’t arise here Helen. It’s a supplier and consumer boycott.
It would be an extremely odd ‘free speech’ argument that defended the right to broadcast misinformation, but condemned the right of suppliers or customers to protest about it, wouldn’t it?

Looks like it’s working, anyway…

This article focuses on covid misinformation - but the more serious cases in my view have been about climate change denial - recently, for example, allowing the psychologist Jordan Peterson - who appears to know nothing about anything, but for some reason has become a famous youtuber - talk at length about climate modelling:

Now that Helen has her own thread I’d like to ask her three simple questions -

  1. Do you believe that Covid is ‘real’ and that millions have died from it?

  2. Do you believe that anti-Covid vaccinations have saved millions of lives?

  3. If you contract Covid and get seriously unwell will you expect the French health service to treat you?

I rather hope Helen doesn’t answer this Tim - once these discussions become personal they tend to end badly.

Your last question in particular is ill-thought-out. You could have asked: If anyone does anything a bit dangerous should they expect the health service to treat them?

I agree Geof, walkers, climbers, cave divers etc etc.

Helen started the thread to post anti-vax propaganda without hindrance from others and has said recently that she doesn’t care what people think of her so I can’t see her being bothered about such simple questions, last time I checked treating a climber for his injuries after a fall didn’t put the nurse or doctor at personal risk of contracting a deadly disease.

First and unknown strain maybe omicron?? Very unlikely.

Mountain rescuers at risk, helicopter crew and doctors they carry?

And Johnson may not be lying, pigs do fly etc.etc. :grinning:

Come on Tim - we all know that emergency services are often at risk themselves.
Luckily for us, they don’t tend to stop to ask whether we ‘expect’ to be helped!

IMO the jabbs are exactly that, symptom reducing jabbs they are not vaccines due to the mumber of people jabbed who subsequently caught covid. I am interested to see the data as we all should be able to. Pfizer et al are immune from prosecution (what a vaccine contract😂) like statins the data hasnt been released as we could then make up our own minds rather than taking the word of a GP who just follows the crowd.

Dont get me wrong I am grateful to the clever folk who quickly came up with the symptom reducing jabbs and saved a huge number of people.

Vaccines can only work with what ‘we’ have. If humans cannot generate a level of immunity which prevents infection then it is relatively unlikely that they will be able to do so too. We already know the natural infection cannot prevent reinfection, so how can you expect the vaccine to do so?

You can’t compare the two Geof, the unvaccinated deliberately put others at risk without taking any safety precautions whereas a mountain climber would at least be wearing a harness and a helmet.

A few posts back you mentioned ‘censorship’ and ‘free speech’, perhaps you can tell me what I am allowed to ask Helen about the reasons for her anti-vax stance?

But there are all sorts of situations in which people could take precautions but don’t - including exposing themselves to risk of infections that could be passed on to care workers. I can think of hundreds such scenarios!

As to ‘free speech’ - you can ask what you like! I merely said I hope Helen doesn’t answer.
You put yourself in the position of the graphic Helen posted - the mistake of most of the complainants about ‘woke’ ‘cancel culture’ - that some, usually media darlings, should have the right to speak, but others should not have the right to protest against what they say!

Yes understood, my reference to vacines are based on the very successful ones that have eradicated certain diseases from mankind (we hope). 14 Diseases You Almost Forgot About (Thanks to Vaccines) | CDC

It will be interesting to see if omicron is a re infection from BA.2 and if people on mass are re-infected with omicron 1. As these are the most transmissable variants to date.

I believe with modern processed diets we are reducing our innate immune responses somewhat together with the grazing 24/7 culture leading to the huge rise in obesity and diabetes.

I also whince a bit when I hear those cleaning product claims to eliminate all germs, etc.
Is it really good for us to spend most of our time in sterile environments?

Good questions Tim, it will be interesting to hear Helens answers to them.

Well it sounds like we in the UK have got off fairly lightly compared with many other countries. At least we no longer have to wear masks and I don’t think most people will have much patience with anymore scaremongering predictions. I was amazed at the last one. 6000 deaths a day if we didn’t have another lockdown but then you read the small print and the range predicted was from 600 to 6000 and even that was way off the mark.
