Making history: (Vaccinated cured or dead take 2)

So do you reckon that to the unvaccinated coronavirus poses no risk anymore, I take it you have had your booster just to be on the safe side though

Life presents risks, minimised mine with booster. 3 people I know unvaccinated have had corona (omicron most likely) been ill for a week but now back at work so for most it would seem not to pose a massive risk.

Unless you end up as one of those that die with it, fatal version of Russian roulette.

Its reasonbly sure they would have not enjoyed long lives.

You have no way of knowing that whatsoever.

I find it slightly ironic that poeple who say it’s fine, it won’t cause you any problems, just like a bad cold etc, usually are vaccinated up to their eyeballs and wear masks as well.

@Griffin36 @Corona I think you are having a discussion at cross-purposes here since I gather you are both vaccinated and boosted and actually in agreement.

Edited to add obv tell me where to get off if you feel I’m interfering.

Unless they have passed it on to somebody who may well have had more severe symptoms.
The fact that the UK government now seems to be backtracking on allowing the unvaccinated to work in health care is an indication that the selfish are getting away with it. To my mind it is totally disgusting.
I wouldn’t want to be a patient cared for by someone who had not been vaccinated.
Compare this to France where the patients have to have a PCR test before they are allowed into a hospital and to show their vaccine pass to get in as a out patient having an appointment with a specialist.

Corona thinks that everything is hunky dory with the Corona virus now, it’s just a bad case of flu or a cold that everyone gets now as far as his anicdonal evidence goes, we don’t need to panic about it and he is wanting catch it on purpose now to get it over and done with.
I have had close friends and colleagues who have said much the same, that it’s ok now and it’s not going to affect me as I am a tank, then it’s into hospital and the next thing you know your watching their funeral via video link.
I know the bulk of people that catch omecron survive it and it’s nowhere as serious as it was, but… you don’t actually know if your going to be one of those who find out it’s still a killer and I have no wish to go out of my way to play Russian roulette with it or with any of my loved ones.

? Obv nobody wants to catch it, but if you are vaccinated and catch it you are extremely likely to get it mildly - so if vaccinated and following normal sensible rules re masks distance and handwashing you should be OK even if you do get it, statistically.
Obv it is v sad when someone dies: but we all die of something sometime and I am tempted to think that if in spite of every sensible precaution you do die of the thing you were trying to avoid then it is probable that a lorry would have got you crossing the street or something else similar, bad luck but happens.
I hope I haven’t been too blunt, I go off to work every day to the snot exchange where I rub shoulders with getting on for 1000 people and if I were to waste my time getting the heeby-jeebies about possible contagion now that I have taken all sensible precautions and continue to, I wouldn’t get anything done at all.

Vero this is not a fair comment.

Some of us have already worked out that you are superhuman in several ways

I do not want my mother who is vulnerable, has vaccinations and takes every precaution, to be killed by some snot-nose who’s OK himself and doesn’t care that not quite everyone else is guaranteed to be so fortunate. Especially if Omicron is going to rip through the population so quickly, and with a bit of luck will disappear in a very few weeks when it runs out of hosts. That is why I can’t forgive the vaccinated who refuse to take precautions and the unvaccinated who refuse to stay at home.

Corona has already stated that he wanted to go out of his way to catch the virus on purpose to build an immunity to it

Not at all, its just a discussion. It is a bit tragic that some people succumb so easily where others are almost immune to these things. I am interested in why. Without a shadow of doubt those that eat poorly are at a higher risk as their bodies systems are busy dealing with problems of day to day issues.
All points of view are welcome.

Yes I do, but can’t just yet because of things happening right now it would be a real problem. By the look of things BA.2 is going to run through the remaining population that didnt get omicron 1st time. Maybe a few will have both.

As they threw off their mortal coils early sadly I do believe I can.

No no no, I can’t have been clear : I think everyone should be vaccinated boosted and take precautions, in the case of your mother prob no contact with teenagers is a good idea on top of vaccinations, masks, handwashing etc, but would she realistically be in contact with any?

I think vaccinated people should take every sensible precaution as I said above - including avoiding vulnerable people and unnecessary contact, and the unvaccinated should get themselves vaccinated.

But once that is done, then that is about it. I wear a mask 9+ hours a day and my hands look like lobsters from that ghastly gel. I’m always about 50cm to a metre away from anyone.

If eg I get COVID and die in spite of all those precautions my final words may well be “argh why did I bother going to work dammit” but realistically I’ll have done what I could to reduce risk while continuing to live as normal a life as possible, pay my bills etc. I can’t afford to sit at home in fortress Vero and not bring home the bacon.

It’s an airborne virus, early on a Spanish research Institute said although covid can live on surfaces they couldn’t get enough to infect anyone. Later an Israeli University stated the same thing so just washing with soap should be fine. I gave out information to staff about the overuse of hand sanitiser and dermatitis.

And I prefer it but gel is what we have. The upside is no gastro
And I look better with a mask on.

Well Joe Rogan has put out a statement on his instagram and there are competing reports in differing news articles about what he actually said…even though they all must have watched what he actually did say….

It didn’t sound to me like he was being disparaging towards any of his guests…not Dr Peter McCullough…nor Dr Robert Malone nor Neil Young nor Joni Mitchell…

Update from The Freedom Convoy to Ottawa 2022 is a press release…

I can see why they find it tedious if unvaccinated having to quarantine but they should just get over themselves, what was about one issue has turned into a complete free for all with all sorts of ghastly cynical opportunist bandwagon jumpers piling in, Donald Trump jr for example. I find the "poor little me look I’m a victim too siding with the salt of the earth " from the likes of that hideous chancer very irritating.

Edited to correct fat finger syndrome
