Its easy to see why they are worried. After their business gurus tell us all how to run things, how to be mindfull yada yada yada.
All from the sickest nation on the planet and pitifully the people cannot afford good healthcare.

You make the world sick with your fast food crap tell us all how we should live yet your pitiful country.

The Guardian: As Omicron peaks, the US healthcare system is left ‘broken beyond repair’.

The lovely Mr Rogan has to apologise again -

The convoy is named the ‘Freedom Convoy’ yet it is denying 0000’s of people the freedom to go to school, work or trade goods across the border with the US, once again the majority have to suffer so a minority can protest.

This has nothing to do with vaccinations anymore. Politicized a cause that benefits all, for their own selfcentred belief.
No wonder vaccinated people are getting fed up. I would love to have my life return to pre covid ‘freedom’ but until everyone toes the line this is not going to happen. I have relatives shielding for 2 years now… where is their freedom?

It’s selfishness pure and simple, they might try and dress it up by repeating all the bollocks that the likes of Crabtree, Kennedy, Malone etc spout, but in the end it is just trying to justify their pure selfishness and sod everyone else.

It’s actually all reminding me very much of televangelists. Those crooks who go on tv and sell magic holy cloths that will give you prosperity, or will cure you of terminal illness by shoving you so hard in the chest with a bible you fall over. The sycophantic following of these cretins like they’re some kind of heroes is very cringeworthy. Say what you want about the likes of Fauci and Whitty but at least there was a large dose of tongue in cheek humour when people put them on tee shirts or spoke of their ‘fauci ouchi’, the elevation by antivaxers of these charlatans like Bigtree to some kind of hero is worse than Joel Osteen or Peter Popoff back in the day.

Be careful there Tim, the right to protest should be well guarded. Just look at what Boris is trying to do in UK. Give the police the right to break up protest if they decide it is “too noisy”.
Very often it is those people who keep themselves well informed that recognise a forthcoming danger, whilst the rest have their heads in their tabloids or social media.
Of course, I do not think that anti vaxxers are in the right. Maybe they could be prosecuted if they are spouting misinformation?

There is a very interesting programme on Radio 4 and BBC Sounds by Gabriel Gatehouse that reveals the story behind Q Anon, which started out to demonise the Clintons and now has the same type of folk as the anti vaxxers believing that there was a paedophile ring in the White House.

The police have been very patient as have the residents of Ottawa but at some point the rights of the majority have to win out surely?

As indeed should the right to go about one’s daily life without impediment.

The ‘protestors’ in Ottawa are astro-turfed and financed by right wingers in the US.
They are not ‘good people’.

If some of those who complain about protesters got off their backsides and became more politically active it would be better for the country.
Would you have stopped the Suffragettes, the Greenham Common women, those who took to the streets in their hundreds of thousands for the Countryside Marches?
It is the protesters who can bring items of interest to the fore and don’t let the politicians off the hook.

It all comes down to trust. How much do we trust the politicians, the media, the pharmaceutical industry and the epidemiologists. We all seem to have different levels of trust according to our own experience and a significant number in the healthcare industry seem to have particularly low levels of trust. In addition the data seems to indicate that if they have had COVID their immune system gives them as much protection as the vaccines. So in that case it makes good sense not to have the vaccine.

No it doesn’t, while being infected with coronavirus can provide some level of antibody protection, it’s not guaranteed for everyone, and that the level of protection it gives is much lower than the protection that the vaccines provide and that’s before we get into the seriousness of how badly Covid will effect the unvaccinated compared to someone who has been vaccinated.

Out of interest have you been vaccinated or not Geoffrey.

Item My score (out of 10)
Politicians 1
Media 3
Pharmaceutical industry 2
Epidemiologists (which I take it covers scientists in general) 9

You might be interested in this recent video from John Campbell. @Wozza posted it above, but I think it has a particular relevance in view of the comments here re protection afforded by vaccination and protection afforded by infection.
