I think win is a bad choice of words and a 52% majority got the UK out of the EU and I don’t see that as a win. The truth is always the truth it never changes, only the lies change.

The original John Hopkins paper remarks are pretty much out of date as we reference omicron variants. Known to be far less dangerous to most with a far better immune response due to the killer T cells seing more of the viruses spike proteins compared to earlier variants.

You don’t need to be an epidemiologist to work out the more times you are exposed or exposed and jabbed the more your body will build up its immune response.

My reply was aimed at Geoffrey saying that having covid gave as much immunity as a vaccination so you don’t need a vaccination, not about having a vaccination after having covid.

Well I really don’t intend to be rude but unless you have a direct line to God I don’t understand how you can be so definitive. All I know is I have seen data that appears to be from a good source that shows those who have been infected have as as good immunity as those who have been vaccinated.

Your statements seem to come straight from the CDC. What this report is saying is that the CDC is ignoring a lot of research that suggests that those who have been infected have the same immunity perhaps even greater immunity than the vaccinated. There is a also a suggestion that politics is the reason for this approach. Perhaps money is involved as well ?
There was also expressed a concern about the lack of ‘openess’ about the side effects of the vaccines especially to young people.

Well I think that epidemiology is a woolly science a bit like economics where you collect masses of data shove them into a computer and hope for a result. But if an economist made a prediction of growth rate to be some where between 7% and 70% he would not have done his reputation much good. So I don’t understand how Chris Witty can get away with making a prediction of deaths from COVID per day to be between 600 and 6000 by the end of 2021. So I would give Chris Witty a 3!

Indeed - but then missing from your list of ‘who to trust’ are all the other scientists - for example the ones that understand the actual cellular, molecular, and ultimately quantum mechanisms via which viruses, vaccines, etc actually work - and whose understanding is backed by lots of real, empirical, repeatable experiment. My ‘9’ was with them in mind - epidemiologists, maybe a 6?

I hadn’t realised that there are Trump supporters joining in with this protest. They should not be allowed across the border. This is a Canadian affair and should remain exactly that.
