Has anyone with a Mammotion mini LUBA robot mower had this issue and if so, did you manage to resolve it? How?
Early cut of the year and the grass is long and even on the highest cut I’m pretty certain some grass blades have wound their way round the spindle of the cutting blade disc so that it is not turning freely. Hence, it won’t work.
I can see no way to get the disc off and get behind it, remove the dried grass and free the spindle.
I am not going to find anyone locally prepared to work on it for me. (Problem with buying online from a company that has no distribution/service network - if I’d realised this I would not have bought this make of robot, even with its good reviews.)
Have you removed the three screws that hold the disk on. You need to use the hexagonal screwdriver that comes with the kit. You might need something pointy to clear the hexagonal recess. If really tight use an impact driver but make sure your hands are protected in case the disk turns instead of the screws and you get caught by the blades.
I always remove my disk when I change the blades.it makes changing them much easier. I always use a drop of loctite when I replace the screws The hexagonal recess is a standard size. An Allen key might be an easy solution.

Thank you both, very much. I wish I’d seen the video you found earlier Graeme - I didn’t dare remove the nut, (problem with not being an engineer!) so have just spent two hours picking the grass out with eyebrow tweezers from under the small metal plate that holds the disc. I live and learn. Half the lawn was under that plate.
I’m interested to know how you found the video Graeme. All I kept finding was the general introductory videos from Mammotion or the lawn mower guys who were disassembling the larger LUBAs that have two discs for the blades.
Mik; Re the screwdriver, I didn’t realise it had two ends! We have a very good stanley allen key set, so I managed with that. Also, I asked CGPT for service/repair but didn’t come up with anything useful.
In fact I’m pleased I’ve managed to do it myself with your help. Not least because I feared I’d burnt out the motor putting the mower under too much pressure. I’ve got a second LUBA that does the gite lawns and I’ll give that a check over tomorrow.
I’ve also ordered new blades as I’m beginning to realise at the start of the season it’s essential they are well-sharp.
Looked like not vey much, but there was masses hidden underneath. I can only get better at this.
The search I used was “removing disc on luba mini”. I am in UK for a few days so it might give different results than France? When in France I will usually first search for “Google UK” before entering the search terms . And vice versa if I need something in France when I am in the UK.
We have a twin disc luba 3 that we have found to be absolutely excellent. However we make the initial grass cut of the year with a petrol mower (That was in mid March) , then use the luba every 4 or 5 days as it seems to be growing like topsy at the moment.
We are not far south of Bergerac, so if you are somewhere near there and get stuck I can always pop over.
Thank you Graeme. Your offer of help is kind, since I’m not that far south of you. For the moment I’m feeling smug because I’ve managed it, but I’ll bear your offer in mind, if I may.
Don’t worry about burning out the motor. If the disk gets blocked, the operation is automatically paused. If you check your notifications, (tap the icon top left of screen) it should have told you.
I always do my first cut of the year with my old sit on mower.
One thing I took from the video is to remove the key from the start button before putting your fingers anywhere near those very sharp blades. There are plenty of safety features but you never know when something might go wrong.
Don’t forget there are 4 sharp edges to use on one blade before they need replacing.
