To be fair to Macron, his reply was blunt but constructive: no ‘I feel your pain’ merde. Better any job experience and sense of purpose than none. Better to try face-to-face job-seeking than sending letters that are likely to get scant atention and make no impression.
So I would give Macron 8/10 for man-in-the-street gumption.
