March 3rd 2020: Change of driver’s license to French: new process

I think it’s a sub section of the basic demande un permis…I seem to think OH swore quite a bit trying to find the right bit as it was not obvious but had to click through several sections to get to it.

If you go back up this thread to post 34 there is a link to a facebook group on this subject (we don’t use facebook).

Thanks Jane, no facebook here!
The option I need is to open an accountant with ANTS, before I can even begin the application! The particular options relate to professions, except expert…in what

The first heading of the drop down list on my screen is particulier. Which is you.

Yep… you are definitely "Particulière "

I certainly am Stella

Thank you Roger, but no good to me. I am not on facebook.

That group is so useful it’s worth signing up to FB just to read their advice. I think that the lady who runs it is an SFR member.

Lily… why not leave it for a while… when things have calmed down you can always ask at your Mairie… or the local drop-in centre… where there are public computers and folk ready to help with this sort of important on-line stuff… at no charge and no hassle… :hugs:

Did you try looking at drop down menu for particulier?

I managed to get the account set up :+1:
When one of the questions flumuxed me, I decided to try again tomorrow, when my brain is refreshed.
Stella I might just try at the Mairie, if I get stuck :+1:

Thank you David, but from what I have witnessed over the years about Facebook I prefer to give it a miss.

No panic… no worries… now you’ve got the account set up… with a clear head you might manage things… if not, well… there are other ways as you know…

cheers

I really don’t understand comments like that. You could join FB, take advantage of an excellent group then cancel Facebook. Why do people run down what they don5 use or understand?

We’re all different, David. that is something we should all understand… :upside_down_face:

You are missing the point Stella. Facebook is just a tool and the driving licence page is excellent. It really is the must visit place for people who are have driving licence issues.
Users control Facebook not the other way around. If you tried to look at my FB page you would only see exactly what I am happy to share with strangers and that is basically nothing beyond a name. I’m quite happy for people to not want to use Facebook but I don’t like people who have never used it making inaccurate judgements.

David.. I think you are missing the point which I have made…

I’m no5 Stella, I’m responding to an answer. It# a bit like me saying thanks for offering to lend me a bicycle but I’ve heard they are dangerous so no thanks.
I’ve finished now as I’ve expressed my point of view and offered the route to a great site specifically set up several years ago to help people exactly like the OP.

Your posts remind me very much of another D M ( Dan Miller) also from the Charente, who left SF (anonymised) just before you joined.

Are you , by any chance, someone that’s recently been banned from here? Or maybe a close relative?
It might be just me, but it seems your timing, attitude and posts are very similar to someone with the same initials who has just been binned.

No I’m on Facebook if you want to check up on me, complete with 92 friends.
I’m just surprised that anyone should make such a song and dance about using a smartphone to generate an Attestation. It really is simple.
