Communism sought to destroy the traditional family, so under the Democrats it was pretty successful, though aided by the harnessing of medicine (the pill) and social changes (abortion, gay marriage, trans activism, feminism to a degree).

Hi Roger, I think your first statement diametrically contradicts your next statement. How can you not condone violence but say itās a sad day when someone survives an assassination attempt? I disagree with almost every thing that Trump has said or done, yet I would never condone his murder. I know you are outspoken, and you seem to get away with a lot on this forum, but Iām sorry - someone had to call you out on this.

I wonāt defend Trump, but maybe heās the stopped clock.
For me, an attack on the family strikes at society.
I donāt think (what I would see as) immorality should be criminalised, not least because, in fairness, my own vices should likewise be sanctioned. So I have to say that the two most significant statutes of 1967 were just.
But, equally, I donāt see that it is any part of the proper role of government to push ideologies onto the governed, which is what is happening throughout the western world, almost without exception. I donāt think that Cameron, Starmer, Burnham are deliberately destroying society, but I think the desire to ābe kindā, coupled with an absence of any absolute morality and the refusal to entertain any differing views, is doing immense harm.

I believe we havenāt seen max Trump yet. Should he pull off the midterms with his commies under the bed strategy, which is very possible, then many may join me in lamenting Crooksā poor marksmanship.
I love the way Trump and his shitty entourage can say whatever they like, lock 'em up, deport 'em, bomb 'em into oblivion etc. etc, but some old fart (me) living in France says that (obviously) the World would be a better place if Trump was no longer here is offensive.

Certainly it would be a better place if he were no longer the US President.
The previously convicted felon has moved on from there to mass murder bearing in mind that Iranians are people too.
We are all capable of violence given the right circumstances. It is the nature of the beast. The saving grace is that for the vast majority of us it would have to be very special circumstances.
Were this man to be convicted of crimes against humanity by the ICC, then I would be quite prepared to pull the lever to stretch his neck.

Thereās an argument about whether he did, or if it was a bit of shrapnel from the autocue screen that he actually did hit. Certainly, thereās no sign of any visible damage in subsequent photos of his ear.

Highly likely as a bullet tends to notch or punch holes, but that rifle/calibre combination is known for inherently unstable bullets that yaw and tumble if they strike anything firmer than candy floss.
