Microstation Service

Recently Spanc came round to do their check on our Microstation. All is fine but they noted in their report that we don’t have a record of the annual service that is mandatory. This is new to me that this is needed. As an engineer I’ve always cleaned/ replaced the air filter for the compressor and as recommended by the manufacturer replaced the pistons every two years. This is not good enough for Spanc and so I need to find a company that provides this service. The original company that installed our Microstation has disappeared (and didn’t mention anything about annual service) and so we are left now looking for a company that provides this service. We have the Microstation emptied every other year or when needed but they don’t do servicing. Does anyone in this group have a Microstation and if so do you get yours serviced every year?

Yesterday I met with the Spanc inspector at a neighbours house (it’s their holiday home) for an inspection on their microstation - they had been informed that Spanc wanted to inspect it because it had been ten years since installation. They asked for the proof of contract and copy of the last service report - my neighbour had emailed them to the office and me so i could show the guys doing the actual inspection. My neighbours microstation is a tricel and he has a service/maintenance contract with them. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer of your microstation as they may well have their own service team or be able to recommend one in your area.

We have MicroStation and have a maintenance contract to get it serviced once a year/every 18 months..The installers put us in touch with the manufacturer’s recommended service company called Assisteaux, who are apparently based near Poitiers but operate nationally. We are in Seine Maritime in Normandy.

Their number is 05 49 59 01 20.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for your assistance.

I’ve just checked their Website and it’s just what we need. Here’s their Website if anyone else needs it: https://www.assisteaux.com Thanks again!

Interesting. We have a microstation but no maintenance contract, and we’re in the process of selling the house. It was only a couple of years back that SAUR (in our dept) inspected (it was a commune initiative to have all fosse septiques inspected) and whilst they asked if we had a maintenance contract, they didn’t say it was mandatory.

SAUR will be inspecting again next week, as a requirement for selling the house, so it’ll be interesting to see what they say.

I had a new Microstation installed in July 2025, the company making the septic tank was “Eloy Water” and a flurry of emails went to and fro regarding the extension of the guarantee, during which they told me that a company called Hydraserv would contact me between 12 and 18 months from the start of the septic tank functoning to propose a maintenance contract. So I am assuming that for new septic tanks a delay of 18 months is fine and thereafter inspection and maintenance is at 12 month intervals and that this is also fine with my local SPANC.

As an alternative to Assisteaux, the Hydraserv details are below, but not having had any dealings with them as yet, I cannot say if they are any good:

We have a Tricel micro station septic system installed by a company in Liseaux I have just contacted them to request the annual inspection and service they offer, so that we can be sure we are there when their technician comes.

The company which supplied the system and also does the service/ inspection is called Cloacine. Perhaps they could advise you?

Not a dicky bird about a maintenance contract. The SAUR guy was here for all of 20 minutes, half of that was doing the paper work. He saw the invoice for the vidange from the previous week, listened to the microstation (didnt even want it opening) and said all was good. Money for old rope really.
