I have been referred to as a Pom, a Limey & even a Rosbif, should I be offended?
The names have never been used in a hostile or mean way & in fact they have always been used in good nature & taken the same way. It is not so much the name as the spirit in the way that it is used.
Maybe not for you, most others didnt have the luxury that you possibly had with a sheltered lifestyle.
Same here, i have been called limey, tommy and even referred to as a honky by a very racist person. Water of a ducks back (or is that offensive in this day and age)
If you re-read the post @vero did not accuse you of being racist.
She asked if you belonged to one of the groups of people who deem that language ok.
