How cute! Were they wrapped carefully with tiny bandages impregnated with fragrant oils, and their tiny paws and feet placed daintily in a matchbox-sized mouse-arcophagus? Did they have little packed lunches in their tomb to feed on in the afterlife? Any pictures?
Presumably to feed the mummified cats.
