If Janis Joplin and Robert Plant had a child???
Love all the clips of legends, great stuff.
This is a chirpy number but maybe itās more āvideo to lighten the moodā.
Underrated so much
Great player but with a tendency to fool around and go way off piste on many occasions. He played it pretty straight the first time I saw him with Clapton and Robert Cray 3rd Feb 1990. Itās on YouTubeā¦great gig!
You cant beat a bit of audience participation
Vulnerable and honest
Nice clip. Itās hard to believe that heās now 84. Wouldāve been great seeing him when he was playing Chicago clubs in the 60ās. I like that his his playing is unpredictable. Leonard Chess, Chess Records founder, denounced Guyās playing as "just making noise.ā
I suppose heās the last one of a long line of players that heavily influenced the guys that are around today. My favourite of those Iāve seen live would be Hubert Sumlin but thereās not a whole lot on the Tube that does him justice. He must have been the original āSharp Dressed Manā. His suit looked like it cost more than our house!
The guitar solo later on is to die for, (after about 2mins)with help from the haunting piano
Ok, not music a such but a classic non the less
Came across Mark Knopflerās version of āWonderful Worldā with Chris Botti.
A large gin & sitting in the evening sun makes me agree with himā¦
