Different versions of two songs I really like …I still prefer The Sound of Silence by Disturbed but I came across these versions…
This thread gives a fascinating insight into the male mind (some male minds?).
70% (226) of the posts are by 14 men (I wonder if they are typical?)
@Stella Stella’s original post was a request to “lighten the mood”.
If the posts here are examples of music that is “lightening” the moods of those 14 men, heaven help them! All I can say is the choices plunge me into the deepest gloom.
Is this what you envisaged Stella when you started this thread?
Saw them live in Carlisle in the 70’s
Ha ha… @SuePJ
Music varies so much… and so do we.
It’s been interesting to note what folk choose to post …
some of it I like and some of it I don’t… but that means nothing in the scheme of things.
These last few weeks… I’ve been going back, more and more, to my classical roots… and have found it very restful/calming
but I can’t ignore all the stuff I thoroughly enjoyed as I went from teenager to adult… (such music , which made my father despair at the time… )
Most of my old-rave favourites… I still enjoy listening to… and this thread has reminded me of some which I had forgotten…
My idea of encouraging the sharing of music… has worked very well, I reckon.
good grief… I remember watching this on TV way back when (I was very young, of course… )
Searching through music magpie for my mom’s birthday…she loves her music preferring it to the tv…she only watches breakfast in the morning and then switches the tv off and plays music and reads (people’s friend ) and rings me 3 or 4 or 5 times a day and we chat about anything and everything…
Got her fleetwood mac “rumours” (and The Corrs) both second hand but good as new😀
I always loved the lyrics to this track…
