I keep changing my mind. Which one was it?
Groove in G. thanks for putting it back
And now just played the Stevie Wonder - stunning! Havenât heard that in centuries - very apposite given whatâs going on in the world right now.
OK
I post and then later delete some, I donât want to take up so much of the space.
I wish more people were posting, and more often. And more women. I really like the Melody Gardot song. I had never heard her before. Thanks
Thank you for noticing Peter. For me, sometimes, this thread feels a bit âblokishâ and much of the music is not to my taste. So Iâve realised the way I can contribute is as I did with Melody, if Iâm playing something on Spotify and I think others might enjoy it, I find it on Youtube and paste across. And if something catches my eye (like Chrisâs did - and Iâm glad I did) then Iâll try it.
I commend Melody to you. Hers is an interesting story. I saw her in Bordeaux in the submarine pens (would you believe) theyâve turned these world war II concrete âbunkersâ into a dramatic concert venue.
Hereâs another of hers:
My current favourite French song and this live version is absolutely stunning.

Great song, reminds me of The Office every time I hear it!

Thatâs another nice one. Just read a bit about her. Her story helps to explain the soothing quality in her singing.
I understand Stellaâs original intent âto lighten the moodâ, but I am also guilty of posting music (after seeing others do so) (still, no excuse) that I wouldnât consider achieving that goal. Iâll also apologize for any of my future postings that fail to do so.
I wish there was another thread, maybe âMusic to darken the moodâ for the more archetypal âmale musicâ that I think many women wouldnât care for. Until then, I hope more women will start posting music on here, and just ignore the more âblokishâ listings.
Iâm glad you introduced me to Melody Gardot.
Thing is that a lot of things that some might feel darkens the mood would lighten my mood. We are all different. A couple of things I was going to post would probably be considered music for the SuicidalâŚ
