Patti Smith’s version sounds more psychedelic than others. Molly Tuttle’s version is a bit of comic fun…and it’s longer! And with a name like that had to post her video…!

Surely that is how it should be “the red queen is off with her head”.

A shame slick did not get to drop a tab in Nixon’s tea.

Any way to get to sleep on long haul flights it has to be Gorecki’s 3rd Symphony of Sorrowful Songs with Dawn Upshaw.

Interestingly Beth Gibbons makes a reasonable fist of it.

Great song, but the guy talking about it over the music and waving his hands about is such a banal a********e

Discovered whistles that play musical and other sounds whilst finding my mountain rescue one, really interesting site, have clicked on many of them to hear them.

I’m sorely tempted by this one which is the sound of The Clangers. Apparently used by musicians too (Louis Armstrong). Slide Whistle 472 by Acme | Acme Whistles

The cat is going nuts this afternoon trying to find out where the bird is when I ciick Play on this nightingale whistle. They have a few other bird ones too.

And a lot of dog whistles including one that glows in the dark. Not sure if visible under water @David_Spardo

This is a proper Bosun’s whistle (Navy), there are various military ones on the site too. Boatswain Pipe 12

And a tugboat whistle!

Hadn’t heard the KD Lang version before, but not bad!

As this site relates to France there is no/very little French music. No I did not review all 1777 posts.

Noir Désir - Le vent nous portera

I saw him in Glasgow many years ago, you’re in for a treat.

I loved this set - I think I remember watching it on telly first time around and …well, truly brilliant performers and musicians!..I think in their 70’s still touring…
