hi - its a lovely house - we had shortlisted as somewhere to look at when we come to france in July ![]()
We have only just started looking - would you mind a couple of questions ??
we had looked at an annual running cost of about 2500 euros - is this realistic ?
also i see you have done alot of work - which is great - realistically what is left to do
I am pretty practical having renovated a couple of houses we have lived in in the UK
Hi, thank you it is we have been happy there, at the bottom of a lovely village and only half hour drive to the nearest town, supermarkets, vets, post office etc. It is priced as is, even though it has a beautiful new terrace the whole length of the back, a boiler that replaced the only one and fitted 2 years ago as there was a leak into the house over Winter and it has caused dry rot, some I have had stripped back but it needs some more work on this, this is the work that is left to do, I have had a French treatment company doing the work as dry rot has to be treated professionally but there is more to do, hence selling. Yes that is realistic I ran the house for approx £2,000 pa taxes/utilities etc. The agent is a lovely English lady who would look after you if wanting to pursue. Keep me posted anyway ![]()
