New CV scam?

I’ve just received a text message purporting to come from Ameli inviting me to apply for a new E-Carte Vitale - a smart phone version of the CV. The message came from 07 57 85 23 26, and links to sante-securite.info, which does look very like a ’ proper’ Ameli site and asks (surprise surprise) for all my identifying details.

I believe that the E-Cartes are gradually being introduced dept by dept, but this is the first I’ve heard of it in 86. My account on the Ameli website makes no mention of a possible application process, so I’m proceeding on the basis that the text message is a scam. Does anyone know otherwise?

Scam or not… one does NOT have to go the smart-phone route… it is/will be an option.
Carte Vitale is here to stay… for the foreseeable …

Looks like it’s not a scam.

In my experience, the only SMS Ameli will send you is a 2FA code if you’re logging into the Ameli website or app and your previous session has expired.

It’s a scam, it’s always a scam

I agree that the E-Card is not a scam, but I suspect that the text message I received was. It looked very believable…

Indeed, @Stella , but some of us find smart phones a more convenient way to conduct day-to-day life so I’d welcome an E-CV. The actual Amelie website on the subjects lists the depts where it has been made available and 86 (so far) is not listed…

Sorry Brian, I see what you mean now. Yes, a message from a govt body with with just a phone number, and especially if it asks for details, is very suspect. I block any number that looks like that.

Nod.

Suspect website as well - surely anything official would have a .fr domain and, if not gouv.fr something well recognised like ameli.fr - not some random .info domain.

Indeed, many people think similarly… as is their right… but I was pointing out that there is no rush/pressure… and one can safely ignore what might very well be a scam… :+1: :+1:

I had what was very obviously a scam from that address - not ecards but something else I can’t currently recall. I posted about it on here somewhere
