No change to non-UK residents tax allowance before 2017

Although not mentioned in the Autumn Statement yesterday it was announced that the much discussed withdrawal of the UK personal allowance for non-residents will not happen until at least 2017.

Assuming a change of government next year it's possible, therefore, that it may never happen at all.

Some good news for a change!

Good news at last with regards to us expats who are being taken to the cleaners by every tom, dick and harry that is allowed to get away with it.

I agree. This is a very welcome change and has been a long time coming. Prices will no longer be set by stamp duty thresholds.
