According to L’ Assurance Retraite my pension payment was paid on the 9/9/26, however I have still not received it. This will be my first payment. I reside outside Europe and my bank operates on the SWIFT system. Has anyone else encountered a problem with receiving their French pension via the SWIFT banking network? If so, what was the issue? What was the resolution?
I know I can create a Wise account, for example, but I was hoping to keep it simple by having the funds transferred directly into my day-to-day bank account. On top of that, now this first payment seems to have disappeared into cyber space!
Was this a payment into a sterling account, Paul? If so, yes, people on this forum certainly have had problems. Although I think the issue was getting Carsat to agree to pay into a sterling account in the first place.
I seem to remember @Debby_Wade got round the problem by opening a Wise account, presumably with a euros “wallet”.
I opened a Sterling a/c first and then asked them for a Euro a/c. Neither me or OH has had a problem with getting pensions payed by CARSAT into them, it’s much easier for them.
Okay I have my answer. Coincidentally, just today I received a letter by post from them regarding payment. In my case they are using a 3rd party transfer platform called RIA Money Transfer. My funds are there. No need any further assistance. Thanks
While we are here, does anyone know what all these acronyms actually mean?
I have Carsept and ARRCO, the latter makes me think of a farmer in Devon with a straw in his mouth.
Astounding, but thanks for the effort, I knew Carcept was connected to the transport industry, ARRCO came in to my sights a bit later and now they seem to be one and the same. But as long as they keep paying out I am happy.
