I would guess it’s because they are common words and not specifically nouns or months. You could try writing the date at I do 2024.08.16 which is also good for file names.
It can be fixed - you could use autocorrect - but you May notice certain parts of your August journal look funny, and the irritation of having to uncorrect may not March so well.

While we’re on the subject of MS weirdness, I noticed that if I used the online version of Excel, it rendered dates in the French format, whereas if I opened the spreadsheet in the app version, the dates were in English.
Still haven’t puzzled that one out.

AI magic can produce videos like these, posted on YouTube, from still photos. I downloaded and edited to show just 3 examples. I wonder if/how deep fake videos could be detected.
And I wonder how convincing such an AI video from a photo of parents, or grandparents, would be. The third photo resembles my mother.
Would you want to see relatives or old friends reincarnated from still photos to a moving video? A type of family video album generated from old photos - a bit spooky.

I don’t think AI did George V any favours. It made him look like a man you wouldn’t trust with your children. All that was missing was the moustache twirl. And wasn’t Liam Neeson looked like Abraham Lincoln.

Have always had trouble with ‘meme’ and ‘woke’ seems to have also become the word for the opposite. Sort of ‘anti-woke’ but without the ‘anti’.

Yesterday whilst driving into town, OH saw a large flock of sheep in a field, estimate about 200. They were all as you may imagine chewing away, but all of them were facing in exactly the same direction. I found it fascinating and then wondered if this happens often and I just had never noticed. Has anyone else seen this happen ?
Yes very often back in the UK. The sheep at the front are the most intelligent, imagine being behind the others when they fart! 
It’s not unusual, especially if there is a point of interest that’s drawn their attention: a loud noise, arrival of the farmer etc.

Yes, I get that they always follow each other, especially if food is a possibility. I stopped briefly and had a look myself. These were alone in the large field, spread out rather than bunched together, all with thier heads down eating and all static except for the occasional movement forward to get to more grass. It was a bit spooky

I’m wondering how big the field was compared to the number of sheep… 200 is a lot of sheep…
We’ve just taken a stroll and I’ve checked our local flock…
They can come and go from their cosy barn as the mood takes them… as the door is never closed…
Sometimes there will be just a few outdoors, sometime the whole flock of 17 will be wandering…
With 2 large meadows, ponds, shady trees… they’re every whim is catered for…
they spread out and go wherever they fancy… usually in 2’s or 3’s and it’s rare to see the whole flock on the move together, unless the farmer is visiting to check on them…
they hear his car and come from all over… just to say hello 
Members of our hashing (running and drinking) club take turns to lay a trail. We are often followed by sheep when they see us with our carrier bag of sawdust for the trail marks.
