I haven’t found the answer to my question in earlier posts, so putting it in here.
Has anyone managed to obtain an s1 form from France to use in another European Country? I have just started working in France, but live in a neighbouring EU country. At present, I am still paying for health insurance in my country of residence, but I understand that the cover is meant to come from the country where you are employed. How do I go about obtaining the s1 in France? Who do I request it from?
Your local CPAM or their website ameli.fr should give you the answers. I thought the reference S1 only referred to a UK form for those who have never worked in France and paid cotisations but receive a UK pension here. I do not have a form S1 because I last worked here in France but get UK state pension and french health cover via the CPAM.
No, it’s a form for those who are entitled to healthcare in another country being paid by their competent state. That could be because they receive a pension or are frontaliers. It’s an EU term and they were previously E forms.
Thank you for that info, very interesting but then its always brits who refer to it as the S1 on here so presumed it was a UK thing. E forms yes, I had long forgotten about them as we used to have to apply for one for visits out of France many years ago now.
