So now he wants to levy more tariffs on Canada, because of smoke from forest fires there blowing across the border. It’s not even funny.
Over in the WaPo readers are saying that when California had fires, Canadian firefighters went and helped and also that a Canadian lost his life very recently, fighting a fire in Colorado.

The economic quagmire is only just starting. With Iran’s friends in Yemen taking control of shipping through the Strait at the bottom of the Red Sea it effectively closes the Suez Canal to ‘non approved’ vessels.
Higher oil prices are one thing, but reduced availability is quite another.

Wait until the supply chain bottoms out (maybe sometime in Aug if the current situation persists). The world economy won’t work when oil is $400 a barrel.
