Oil for oak flooring

Hello, I’m new to this group, we’re putting in oak flooring throughout the upstairs of our house and wonder if you have recommendations for a hardwax oil similar to Treatex that we can buy here?

Thanks very much

Jane

Super, thanks so much!

No, first sand the oak, then put on the fond dur which dries in approx 45min, after this put on the 3 coats of vitrificatuer (applied with the grain of the wood ) ready to use in 24 hrs, but best in 48 hrs.

Excellent, thanks very much Steve. Will we need o put anything else on before we can use the floor?

Jane

Dear Jane,

You could use the Heliotan Pro series for heavy traffic ( 92 € TTC : 5l ) and the Fond Dur ( 119.99 € TTC /5l ) this would give you a coverage of 50m2 . We use this product for all our parquet renovation work where a vitrification is required.

Hope this helps, and other questions please do not hesitate to contact me at carpetmanfrance@orange.fr

Best regards

Steve
