We have a small olive tree which this year has produced a soup bowl full of fruit. Does anyone know how to prepare them?
Thanks Peter, it'll be 'im indoors that does it....will let you know if he goes ahead!
It's a bit of a faffy job see http://www.beadcreation.com/homemade_olives_raw_olive_curing_curing_olives_olive_recipies_curring_recipies.htm
Most important thing is to prick each olive- which I would do rather than belt them with a rolling pin as suggested here
It's one of those jobs that needs dedication and I'm not sure it's worth it for a small bowl- I did it with a 15 kilos and they lasted a whole year and two hunters apperros. But not sure I am going to do it again.
