What a fantastic word, Jane - another heart from me for you! (bloodless, inevitably) . . . .
But seriously - are you saying that fouine suck the blood out of chickens? I know for sure that they will raid a chicken coop for an egg, but this Dracula stuff is new to me.
They literally bite their heads off
I hope you are not referring to Lord Montagu here, Mark!
Foxes bite straight through a chickenâs neck, and can sever the head, but I have never heard of fouines doing any such thing. More specifically, with their sharp teeth they can bite into the skull of their prey (say a mouse, normally), which paralyses it. They then carry the still live but comotose prey back to their nest for future consumption.
Exsanguination is to bleed out or bleed to death. Iâd think it unlikely they actually drink the blood.
If itâs got 8 legs itâs a spider and youâre in big trouble âŚ
Esp if youâre sittinâ on the dunny at the time!
My Border Collie had what she thought was a brilliant wheeze to avoid getting into the car and going on a long trip - she knew the difference between shopping trips and days AWOL to Lunnun because of the suitcase.
Ten mins before e.t.d. sheâd return to base completely filthied up with fox or badger shit. Apart from a telling off, this always resulted in the 2nd worse thing in her life - being hosed down and lathered up with washing up liquid.
