Geoportal also has the Plan Cadastral which is very useful when assessing potential properties.

Some years ago, I found the Napoleonic plans cadastral by going to the site of the Prefecture in Agen. I assume that all Prefectures will have access in the same way. You can look at the maps for free. There is a charge for a printed version.

You should be able to access them online via the IGN portal.

I-InfoTerre gives you the geological map of France, which I find fascinating. Under Fonds cartographiques, choose Cartes géologiques.
