My dog is on an expensive range of prescription meds for congestive heart failure. To save money, I had been using “Pharmacy4pets” online who are based in the Netherlands, paying quite a bit below the charges from our own vet. Just learnt today, they are no longer allowed to sell outside the Netherlands. Does anyone have any recommendations for any other similar reputable companies they have used with success? Many thanks.

Yes, am very conscious of this fact, and did a lot of research before I started using Pharmacy4pets - and they were a very good company, based in the Netherlands. It probably saved me around €150 a month, which on a state pension, was a great help. This is why I am asking for any recommendations from any other pet owners on this site. Perhaps there aren’t any reputable ones, so I will of course, return to purchasing from my own vet.

The UK government has started an enquiry into vet costs. It is suggesting a £16 prescription limit and purchases to be made online among other things!
Good news for those living in the UK, but no real benefit to us in France, as French vet prescriptions are neither accepted by British vets, nor any online selling platform; it must be a UK prescription.
Might the SPA dispenserie be of help?

Hi. My dog - a Spanish Galga - is on Cardalis, Cardisure and Upcard.
Has anyone ever tried asking their local pharmacy if they can order? While waiting for my Covid vaccine today I noticed an entire bookcase of meds for pets at our pharmacy. Granted, some may need a vet’s prescription but might it be worth asking? At least the source can be trusted.
Hello Susannah. Yesterday I actually contacted a large Pharmacy nearby and they can order all three meds for me at a similar price to me buying online. So needless to say I am delighted! Thank you Suannah!

Hi. That sounds a very good price - €315 for 400 10mg tablets! You say delivered to you - who do you order from? I have just come back from placing an order at a large local pharmacie and was quoted €167,90 for 100 tablets, which was slightly less than I have been paying online to the Dutch company. I would be interested to know where you buy from?
it was Portalmascota.net but they seem to have more than 1 site so you have to keep trying
