I wish Democrats would spend the same energy producing policies that end poverty and inequality in the US.

I’m with Tim on that one - but the simple fact is that they are not in power and the Republicans are - and you thought the Tories were bad.
I’m not sure that there will be enough hard evidence to sink Trump on this Biden thing - I suspect the Democrats have gone off half-cocked here.

This is all about politics and nothing more, it could well backfire if Republicans get behind Trump.

I think the Democrats forgot the maxim “If you shoot at the King, make sure your aim is straight”.
Certain sections of the Democrat party want Biden out of the 2020 race and this is a way to do it as he has questions to answer about his son’s involvement in Ukraine.
